A Sense of the Uncommon

You’re saying that if nothing is done to bring about the end of the disgrace that politics has become (in both our countries, I can see the rot over here in limeyland too) now, then it will be much harder and more costly for those that come after us to do it. I agree completely though Churchill put it better.
As Rich says though we may be well past the point when our victory is sure and not costly.
Rich:
I sympathise completely, the state has us over a barrel. We are as independent as it is possible to be but we still have to take a shafting to maintain our way of life. We like our lives as is and aren’t willing to risk them for an uncertain outcome. Comfort is an insidious and subtle weapon and it has been turned upon us with a vengeance. I will add to your closing statement though and state that the minute I feel that I am being persecuted for living my life as it is now, I am quite willing to turn and bite the hand that feeds, no matter the cost to me. Some things are more important than comfort.
