Without any kind of first amendment protection for freedom of expression in the UK this kind of proposal has no legal impediment. All that stands in the way of yet another restriction on our freedom is reasoned argument, and when was the last time any argument against the gov’t was considered reasonable? My worst fear is that this goes through without the general populace so much as blinking, if that happens then there will be blood shed in Britains future when the people finally realise what’s been done to them.
