Essential site maintenance
It may be that I am Keith Neilson will be unavailable for a bit this afternoon as I’m performing some fairly routine maintenance and spring cleaning. Not to worry though, if all goes as planned we should be back and transmitting as normal later on in the day.

Site Redesign Underway
I am in the process of redesigning and re-organising my blog. I have a completely custom built theme pretty much ready to go, hopefully I’ll be able to offer it for download once I’m finished tweaking it.
GameScribe Open Beta, and a Contest
As I think I may have mentioned, Gamescribe is a new hosted blogging service built along the lines of Wordpress.com (it even uses the same software) designed specifically with gamers in mind. Read on for more info…
Wordpress 2.5 Should Improve Embed Handling
This peice of news comes as a relief to me; as of next week, once WP2.5 is released, the problems with the layout of this post should be a thing of the past. An excerpt from the Blog Herald’s WordPress Wednesday post detailing some of the improvements follows the jump.

Settled at last…

Let me know what you think of the new look.
Thats the spam dealt with…
In the time between installing wordpress and activating the comment spam filtering gubbins (about 18-24 hours) I got 48000 spam comments which I’ve just had to go through and delete manually.
I’ve also noticed that where there should be 200+ posts there are only 32. Alot more was lost in the migration than I first thought. [...]
August seems to be missing….
Under Construction v2.0 is now in business, template tweaks and plugin hunting aside. Welcome to the dawn of a new age.
All posts made in August and September 2006 seem to have been lost in the conversion between Nuclues and WordPress. Oh well. No great loss really.
