CSM Results are in!

The results of the CSM elections are in!

This years election had a record turnout, 12.67% of eligible voters (accounts older than 30 days) cast a vote. That’s almost double the 7.36% who voted for CSM4. Hopefully this trend will continue into the future.

Without further waffle here is the breakdown of who won:

Votes Character Name
Real Name Country
4,116 Mynxee Carole Pivarnik United States
3,360 Ankhesentapemkah Eva Jobse Netherlands
2,521 Dierdra Vaal Valentijn Geirnaert Netherlands
2,196 Korvin Andrey Antonov Russia
1,649 Vuk Lau Vuk Lau Serbia
1,553 TeaDaze Jason Renouf Guernsey
1,519 Meissa Anunthiel Stephan Pirson Belgium
1,463 Trebor Daehdoow Robert Woodhead United States
1,260 Sokratesz Tim Heusschen Netherlands

Alternates are as follows:

Votes Character Name
Real Name Country
1,178 mazzilliu Allison Nixon United States
1,173 T’Amber Paul Oosterman New Zealand
1,172 Helen Highwater Iain Compton Germany
1,104 ALPHA12125 Marcel Alesi Germany
1,004 ElvenLord Tomas Ljumovic Serbia

From these results we can see that Mynxee, the pirate queen herself, has been elected to the chair (if she accepts that is). It is also nice to see that TeaDaze and Dierdra Vaal have been re-elected.

I am of the opinion that TeaDaze is primarily responsible for the progress that the CSM has made in terms of communication during CSM4 and I’m hoping he’ll continue his stalwart work during his CSM 5 term.

The top two results, Mynxee and Ankh (I’m not even going to try and type the rest of that name) could result in some interesting discussions. As pointed out by the EVE Tribune, Ankh has made their views on PvP and piracy quite clear whilst Mynxee is a very PvP oriented player (I wouldn’t want to be on the wrong end of her guns, thats for certain). Ankh is, at the end of the day, only one vote however, and hopefully compromise and discussion will smooth out any rough patches.

So there you have it. These will be the members of the Council of Stellar Management for the next ten months, I wish them all well and look forward to reading the minutes of their meetings.

For a full breakdown of results, the master of EVE statistics has produced a Dev Blog, go read!
