CSS, Template Tags, and loss of hair…

You may have noticed some disruption to the site over the last couple of days as I’ve been trying to build a theme from scratch, easier said than done let me tell you. I’ve planned out my layout, I’ve set up the template files I need, with the requisite template tags, and am now at the stage of messing about with the style.

Getting things where I want them is proving to be a pain in the ass. The following image should give you an idea of where I’m at so far. Note: the colours are not the final ones, I’m currently using them to give me an idea of where the divs are, the colour scheme should be much as it is now with a couple of tweaks.

If anyone has any advice to offer, feel free. Especially regarding the sidebar. I know it can be done with Javascript but am unsure about how well it would work with a dynamic list.
