Personally I've just installed <a href="http://www.ubuntu.com" rel="nofollow">Ubuntu Linux</a> on my old machine. and its lovely. Instant support via IRC, automatic updates of the OS <em>and</em> the apps. I'm loving it so far. Now I've just got to figure out how to share the drives and control whats running etc from the windows machine so I can get my other monitor back. Yes, I’ve heard that Vista was a rip-off of osx. Just got the new machine. Vista seems bleep and blip very nicely (yuk!) and look like a windoze rip-off Mac OSX. The real test will be when I migrate from my old machine to this one. Especially with my studio software. The notebook, however, is virtually silent and seems to be distributing the heat fine. I'll keep you informed of the joys - though more likely - the horrors of Vista. Frankly, I'm bricking myself.
