Read this post which I stumbled across. It seems that some of the .WAV files used in Windows XP were created by a pirated copy of SoundForge. Laugh? I nearly died.
If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I don’t really think much of Microsoft, especially Vista with all the resource eating DRM shit that they’ve put in it. I wonder if anyone has checked the .WAVs that Vista uses…

Haha, that’s genius!
We found out that Microsoft use pirated copies of Paint Shop Pro when editing photos they took for their stock imagery library Corbis. They tried to sue us (by us we mean the company I work for) for using some of their images without paying for them (we defended and acted in good faith). We found that article anyway, sent it to the lawyers, and they dropped the case!
